I recently purchased a used 2000 GEM e825 golf cart.  It had new batteries installed, with controller, in December 2007.  It had been used strictly for short runs, and ran very well.  But did not run for any distance without depleting batteries-less than 15 miles including golf.  I got home by getting help from people along the way, loaning me their AC extension cord.

After much research and blind allies about my problem I found Steve at Safeway Golf Cars, and he was the only on (battery dealer and manufacturer  who  made sense of my situation, and is helping me get this worked out.
